About Family Ties
Family Ties is a private home base for everything a family takes care of together: chores and responsibilities, allowance and savings, milestones like a first phone or a school trip, birthdays and reunions, photo albums, the family tree, and the games and lessons that keep everyone learning. Instead of spreading all of that across group chats, spreadsheets, and three different payment apps, families keep it in one place that everyone can see.
Who it is for
Family Ties is built for families who want their kids to grow up understanding effort, money, and each other. An organizer, usually a parent or grandparent, creates the family and invites everyone else: kids, teens, grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins, step-parents, and chosen family, whether they live down the street or across the country. Members earn money and XP for tasks, quizzes, and weekly challenges, watch their savings grow toward real goals, learn how interest and borrowing actually work in the Education Hall, and stay close through video rooms, shared albums, and shoutouts.
Who builds it
Family Ties is built and maintained by a small, independent team of parents, designers, and engineers who wanted the tools we could not find for our own families. It is family-run software: every feature starts as something a real household needed, and the app is tested on our own kids, chore charts, and savings goals before it reaches yours. We are also careful about money. Family Ties never holds or supplies your family's cash: rewards and allowances are funded by you, the organizer, and the app simply keeps track of who earned what and what they are saving for.
